She received her professional education at the Janis Rozentāls Riga Art School (1960 – 1967) and the Department of Painting of the Art Academy of Latvia (1967 – 1973), and graduated under the leadership of Prof. Eduards Kalniņš. Master of Art. Participates in exhibitions since 1972. Member of The Artists' Union of Latvia since 1973. Solo exhibitions in Riga (1985), Vilnius (1986), Jurmala (1988), Toronto (1990), Riga (1993), Riga (1994), Belgium, Germany, Riga (1995), Riga (1996), Riga, Germany (1997). She has regularly participated in group exhibitions in Riga, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vilnius, France, the United States, Germany, Japan and elsewhere. The works are located in the collection of the National Museum of Art and the collection of the Artists' Union of Latvia, owned by the Russian Ministry of Culture, in private collections in Latvia and the world. Master of Art, Assistant Professor, since 2007 - Head of the Department of Fine Arts of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning of Riga Technical University. From 1995 to 2009 she was a lecturer in colour studies at the Functional Design Department of the Art Academy of Latvia.
