She received her professional education under the painter Stunda and in the Painting Department of the Latvian Art Academy (1963 – 1965). She is a member of the Latvian Artists’ Union (1975) and has been contributing to exhibitions since 1967. Her artworks can be found in the collections of the National Art Museum of Latvia, the Latvian  Artists’ Union and  in many private collections in Latvia and abroad. Since 2006 she has been on a scholarship of the State Cultural Foundation.
