Bruno Strautiņš

He received his professional education in the Sculpture Department of the Latvian Art Academy (1971). He has been teaching at the Academy since 1984,  and in 1998  became the Head of the Sculpture Department and professor. He is a member of the Latvian Artists’ Union ( 1975) and a member of FIDEM (International Medal Art Federation) since 1992. He has been contributing to exhibitions since 1969. His artworks can be found in the collections of the Latvian National Art Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, the Latvian Artists’ Union as well as in private collections in Latvia and abroad, In 2010 he received the Three-Star Order.
