Ģirts Muižnieks

He received his professional education in the Pedagogical Department of the Latvian Art Academy (1982). In 2002 he received a Master’s degree from the Latvian Art Academy. He is a member of the Latvian Artists’ Union (1983) and has been contributing to exhibitions since 1980. His artworks can be found in the collections of the Latvian National Art Museum, Latvian Artists’ Union, the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, Georgia Art Museum in Tbilisi, Georgia and the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, Germany.
