Ieva Baklāne

She received her professional education in the Janis Rozentals Riga Art  High school (1992) and in the Monumental Painting Master Studio of the Latvian Art Academy. Her graduation work „A Thousand and Three Nights and Roses (1998) was painted under the guidance of Prof. Kaspars Zariņš and Prof. Aleksejs Naumovs. In 2001 she received a Master of Arts degree for the work „In Quests and Development”. She has been contributing to exhibitions since 1990. She had solo shows in the gallery Daugava in 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001. In 2002 she left Latvia for Canada and now lives and works in Vancouver. Her artworks can be found in private collections in Latvia and abroad.
