Jānis Andris Osis

1943 - 2023

He received his professional education at the Riga Secondary School of Applied Arts from 1953 to 1963, studied at the Art Academy of Latvia in the Department of Interiors and Equipment from 1963 to 1971.gadam.No in 1967 he participated in exhibitions, since 1971 a member of the Artists' Union of Latvia. He started his pedagogical work at the Art Academy as a senior lecturer, headed the Department of Environmental Art of the Design Department, and from 1997 to 2007 rector of the Art Academy of Latvia. Currently emeritus professor. In 2003 he was awarded the Order of the Three Stars. The works are located in the collections of Latvian museums, private collections in Latvia, Japan, USA, Germany, etc.
