Normunds Brasliņš

He received his professional education in the Janis Rozentals Riga Art High school (1973 - 1986) and in the Painting Department of the Latvian Art Academy (1980 – 1986). In 1996 he received his Master’s degree. From 1998 to 2004 he was an assistant professor at the Latvian Art Academy and  since 2004, a professor, He became the Head of the Drawing Department of the Latvian Art Academy in 2012. He has been contributing to exhibitions since 1980. His artworks can be found in the collections of the Latvian National Art Museum, the Latvian Artists’ Union and the Viila Haiss museum in Germany, as well as in private collections in Latvia and abroad.
