Rolands Gross

He received his professional education in the Liepāja Applied Art school (1970 – 1974) and at the Latvian Art Academy in the Easel Painting Studio headed by Prof. Edgars Iltners (1975 – 1981). In 1998 he received a Master’s degree. His teaching skills were perfected at Daugavpils University in a program of innovations in higher education (2003). He was a teacher and Head of the Methodical Fund in the Janis Rozentals Riga Art High School (1990 – 1999). Since 2000 he has been teaching drawing in the Drawing Department of the Latvian Art Academy, becoming an assistant professor in 2004. He has been contributing to exhibitions since 1971. His artworks can be found in the collection of the Latvian National Art Museum, private collections in Latvia and abroad.
