Findings in Artists’ Studios

Paintings, sculptures, graphics, ceramics In their art shows artists always display the works created in the current or in a few recent years. They present topical issues which they have lately been concerned with. Yet, their studios store up artworks of the past years, even decades. While reviewing the stocks there, they find interesting and valuable works that could attract attention of collectors or fit nicely in the interior of an office or apartment. There are also artworks swapped with a fellow-painter or purchased in some gallery or auction. While selecting artworks for the exhibition, we gave preference to the variety of styles and techniques. The main criterion was: good artworks by talented artists: Leonids Āriņš, Biruta Baumane, Laima Bikše, Laima Eglite, Andris Eglitis, Dace Lielā, Leonids Mauriņš, Laimonis Mieriņš, Agata Muze, Aleksejs Naumovs, Liga Purmale, Felicita Pauļuka, Maija Tabaka, Juta Rindina, Imants Vecozols, Baiba Vegere, Kaspars Zariņš, Aija Zariņa. The display may be supplemented by some other new findings.
