This exhibition features landscapes of France by Diana Īve. As landscape is her favourite genre it is not surprising that she considers trees an integral part of a landscape as they are the main indicators of climatic zones and seasons as well as having symbolic significance. Trees have long been associated with religious and cultural symbolism, thus we can speak of the enlightenment tree and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Trees by adding a ring each year also permit us to count time.
