Earth, I am a child of yours. I am in harmony with you, I feel your pulse. But the harsh demands of society and life hinder me from listening to the rustle of tree leaves or watching the waves rise in the sea. Nor am I able to feel your breath. Yet I can only find strength when I am in harmony with you. I am a child of my beautiful Latvia. With this awareness I can understand its value and uniqueness in order to renew our ties with the past heritage and formulate future plans.
