Krista Dzudzilo
Through a Glass Darkly

“Memory is selective, fickle, entirely accidental. Quite often the mind will move a random detail, a mere shard of reality, into the foreground as if it was the most important. A fragment of a body or a room deeply embedded in the context of events will levitate in your mind as if outside of tine and space, emitting significance. As in a mirror, dimly, it is to paint. As in a mirror, dimly, it is to behold my own works. I understand them, they are of me and yet remain hidden, there for me to discover.” Krista Dzudzilo
