The Gallery “Daugava” is seeing off 2009 and ringing in the new year with the exhibition “Winter Solstice” displaying works that invite us to meditate on life, the relentless flow of time and eternal rhythms of nature. Paintings by Laima Bikše, Dace Lielā and Andris Eglītis deserve a special mention. Juta Rindina’s ceramics including candlesticks, jewelry boxes and variations on Oriental sweets with their glitter and pomp add a festive touch to the exhibition.
